Product Details:

1777 V 1783 Artillery by Henry Alexander Ogden is the fifth plate in Ogden’s Revolutionary War series, focusing specifically on artillerymen. Buttons, facings, cocked hats, and accoutrements reflect the Continental Army’s 1779 uniform regulations, which were followed through to the end of the war. Artillery Officer: wearing blue coats with red facings and gold trim. Artillerymen (enlisted): Blue coats with red facings and simpler trim, with leather cross-belts and tools such as fuses or ramrods. Musician or Drummer: Often wore the reverse colors (red coat with blue facings), per 18th-century military tradition. Cannon or Equipment: a 6-pounder cannon.
