Product Details:

The Battle of the Monitor and the Merrimack, also known as the Battle of Hampton Roads, was a historic naval engagement that took place during the American Civil War. It occurred on March 9, 1862, off the coast of Hampton Roads, Virginia. In the battle, these two ironclads faced off in a historic confrontation, marking the first-ever battle between ironclad warships. The battle itself ended inconclusively, with neither side able to decisively defeat the other, but it represented a pivotal moment in naval warfare. The ironclad era had begun, forever changing the nature of naval warfare and rendering wooden warships obsolete.
